Ballboys
Queen of the South F.C are provided with ball boys from a Lochar Thistle, and have around 30 at every match at Palmerston Park. In recent seasons, they've even received press attention as visiting managers have commented to the press on their efficiency at giving the balls back to Queens players!

The Queen of the South ballboys enjoyed the last home game of the season which saw Queens beating Dundee 3 - 1. The end of the game brought a very busy period to a close for the ballboys who like the team had been required to squeeze a number of fixtures into the last three/four months.
This busy period has often meant that some of the boys have had to cut short their training nights to travel across to Palmerston for kick off. The boys were often attending 3 matches a week and still managing to attend training for Lochar Thistle and playing games on a Sunday. A big thanks also has to go out to all the parents who have supported the ballboys during the season.

With the Scottish leagues finally finished it was time for the ballboys to enjoy themselves in the stand watching a game for a change. Instead of Palmerston the ballboys enjoyed a trip to Goodison Park where they got to see the last game of the Premier League season between Everton and Chelsea.
The day began with an early rise for the boys who had to get the bus at 8am. They then travelled down to Liverpool where they met with Everton coach Andy Foster and his team who put the boys through a hour of coaching.
All the players thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and gave 100%, although Ross' goalkeeping skills were quite suspect when he allowed an easy ball to slip from his fingers.
After the training everyone made their way to the ground where Everton eventually won 1 - 0.
All the ballboys would like to thank Andy Foster and his team for a very enjoyable training session. A special thanks goes out to the following sponsors Colins Carpets and Lyte Bytes who helped fund the trip and to Ross Corbet for arranging the day.
