All the players and coaches learned a lot from Davy's input and we would like to thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule to join us and pass on his knowledge and experience.

GOALKEEPERS TRIP TO NEWCASTLE GOALKEEPER ACADEMY TRAINING TRIP
The goalkeepers had an excellent day out on the 6th May 2012 when they travelled down to Newcastle to train at the Newcastle United training ground. It was an early start for the players who left Dumfries at 6:30 am to travel to Newcastle for a 9am start. The boys were put through their paces by goalkeeping coach Steven Graham who provided a 2 hour training session.
After the training the boys headed across the city to St James Park where they watched the game against Manchester City. Ruaridh Wallace was fortunate to assist as a ballboy at the ground and was able to watch the players at close range as they warmed up and played the match.
Goalkeepers Train with Scotland Player Cameron Bell
The Lochar Thistle AFC Goalkeeper Academy had a special visitor this month when Cammy Bell attended at the weekly training session. Cammy, who currently plays for Kilmarnock and recently appeared for Scotland against the Faroe Islands to earn his first cap. Cammy is now a regular within the Scotland team and the players were keen to learn from his knowledge and experience.
The players, coaches and committee would like to thank Cammy for taken time out of his busy schedule to support the club.

Global Goals are used by many of the Premier League Clubs and are excellent for allowing players to practise their passing, crossing, shooting and goalkeeping skills.
Donald endured a wet and windy night to come to the club to meet the players and present the goals. The players, coaches and committee would like to thank Donald for his support and assistance.
